Indoor & Outdoor Flea Treatment
The most common flea in Florida is the cat flea. Fleas in Florida are a year-round concern, but infestations increase in Spring and Summer months. Fleas attach to a host and they tend to remain on the host. The host can be wild animals, domestic pets, livestock or humans. Flea larvae feed on adult flea excrement. If your pet has a flea problem, you should seek advice from your veterinarian. Pest control companies do not provide flea treatment on pets. We recommend the pet bedding be replaced rather than treated or cleaned. Fleas rarely attach to humans as hosts but they can cause irritating bites.
Buildings may become infested with fleas even when there are no pets present. Fleas attach to bats, roof rats, squirrels, raccoons, opossums and birds and they can infest our buildings when these animals are around the building or nest in our buildings. Buildings which have experienced problems with bats, squirrels or roof rats often require additional treatment for fleas. If you’re experiencing a flea infestation, contact the experts at 360PestControl by calling (904) 637-1109. We serve Jacksonville and more areas throughout Florida.
