Detecting Termites
If the structure is heavily infested with foraging termites, this may be the best and only option but frequently, we find termites have affected a small area of the structure and you may not need to fumigate or treat the entire structure. To make this determination, the pest professional must be able to locate the termites and determine the extent of infestation. To do this, we need to “see behind the surface”.
TermaTrac® Systems
The TermaTrac T3i® uses a radar sensor to release high frequency low microwave emissions to penetrate building materials. The waveforms show interference caused by movement which is displayed on the operating screen. This allows us to use the device to locate and track termite activity (and other pests) beneath the surface. This data is also stored and presented in a digital report. The T3i also incorporates deep moisture and thermal sensing to support our radar findings. These sensors also aid us in locating nests which give off a heat signature and galleries/termite tunnels which show elevated moisture readings.
The patented TermaTrac® system was first developed in 1990 so we have a 30+ year track record of success. The system is used worldwide and requires training and certification of technicians for quality assurance. 360PestControl is proud to be one of the few companies in Florida who has invested in this system to better serve our customers. This technology is expensive and therefore few pest management companies offer the service, but we do!
The TermaTrac Test Report will present our findings in an easy to read, digital report. Look for the TermaTracCertified logo! You’ll know you have hired the most qualified.
Detection Methods
Pre-Purchase / Termite Inspections
The T3i uses radar and moisture sensing to check damage to see if live termites are present. Other WDO inspectors will do no more than report it – but how will you know if the damage is old or active?
Termites
The T3i uses radar, thermal and moisture sensing to locate hidden termites and to track their movement. We find where they start and where they end. Often, this allows us to spot treat rather than perform a whole house treatment and save our customers money.
Ants
The T3i uses radar to track ant movement in walls, floors and ceilings. Locating the ant trail(s) is important to eradicate ants quickly and cheaply.
Bees
The T3i uses radar to locate bees and the hive in walls. Knowing the location of the hive and the size range may eliminate or reduce demolition of walls and finishes which could save you considerable disruption and money.
Bed Bugs
The T3i uses radar and moisture sensing to locate bed bugs behind baseboards, in walls and furnishings to reduce treatment areas. You may be paying for treatment of areas which do not require it. Especially useful for multi-family residential, theaters or public gathering places and lodging/hospitality venues. Saves time, money, and disruption.
With a 360PestControl TermaTrac inspection, you will know where
the insects are, and you won’t pay for services you don’t need.
