Radar & Thermal Imaging

Termites are not always visible! The evidence of an infestation or damage may be present, but the location of the colony or nest may be hidden.

If a pest professional has advised your home or office may have an infestation of termites, most often they will recommend either a whole structure fumigation or whole structure treatment or both. Sometimes, they may recommend you remove walls, floors or ceilings to expose the termites. They do this because they are not positive where the colony really is. Either method will be disruptive and expensive! At 360PestControl, we serve Jacksonville and more areas throughout Florida.

Detecting Termites

If the structure is heavily infested with foraging termites, this may be the best and only option but frequently, we find termites have affected a small area of the structure and you may not need to fumigate or treat the entire structure. To make this determination, the pest professional must be able to locate the termites and determine the extent of infestation. To do this, we need to “see behind the surface”.

TermaTrac® Systems

The TermaTrac T3i® uses a radar sensor to release high frequency low microwave emissions to penetrate building materials. The waveforms show interference caused by movement which is displayed on the operating screen. This allows us to use the device to locate and track termite activity (and other pests) beneath the surface. This data is also stored and presented in a digital report. The T3i also incorporates deep moisture and thermal sensing to support our radar findings. These sensors also aid us in locating nests which give off a heat signature and galleries/termite tunnels which show elevated moisture readings.

The patented TermaTrac® system was first developed in 1990 so we have a 30+ year track record of success. The system is used worldwide and requires training and certification of technicians for quality assurance. 360PestControl is proud to be one of the few companies in Florida who has invested in this system to better serve our customers. This technology is expensive and therefore few pest management companies offer the service, but we do!

The TermaTrac Test Report will present our findings in an easy to read, digital report. Look for the TermaTracCertified logo! You’ll know you have hired the most qualified.
